Wyland Gallery to welcome Steve Barton

Tropical visionary Steve Barton will showcase his latest colorful canvases at Sarasota's Wyland Gallery, 314 John Ringling Blvd. on St. Armands Circle, Wednesday through Saturday, July 13-16.

Barton will be on hand daily and by appointment to meet gallery visitors and discuss his techniques and inspirations.

His lighthearted oceanfront scenes, many featuring flower-edged beach cottages or boats bobbing tranquilly at anchor, capture the laid-back lifestyle of Florida and the tropics. Barton's unique wavy frames and canvases give the images an additional dimension that enhances their easygoing appeal.

As well as showcasing his latest tropical scenes, Barton will create new pieces during the show.
